Horizon’s Edge Counseling is a collaborative, client-centered practice founded by two licensed, master’s-level clinicians: Roxanne Furtwangler, LPC, LMAC-T and Megan Sleeper, LPC, CCTP. Together we bring a wide-range of experiences, compassion, and clinical insight to the individuals, couples and families we serve.
At Horizon’s Edge, we are united by a shared mission: to provide high-quality, individualized mental health care to the Johnson County area; care that honors each client’s unique story. We recognize that healing is never one-size-fits all. That’s why we take the time to listen, build trust, and tailor our approach to meet your emotional, relational, and developmental needs.
We provide counseling and support for:
Individuals healing from trauma, managing anxiety or depression, grieving a loss, or navigating addiction and recovery.
Couples who feel disconnected, stuck in cycles of conflict, or are working to rebuild trust after betrayal
Parents navigating the the challenges of early childhood, school concerns, behavioral difficulties, or shifting family dynamics.
Foster and adoptive families learning to build connections, navigating complex emotions, and grow together through the unique experiences of parenting children with diverse histories.
Loved ones who are supporting someone in crisis or recovery, and who need a safe space to explore their own feelings and needs.
We recognize that no two stories are the same. Whether you’re walking through a season of survival, seeking tools for healthier communication, or longing to rediscovery joy in your relationships, Horizon’s Edge is here to help you move forward.
No matter where you find yourself today, you are not alone. At Horizon’s Edge, we come alongside you with care, compassion, and clinical support, helping you move toward healing and growth. Together, we’ll create a space for the connection, calm, and fulfillment you’ve been looking for.
Who we serve
At Horizon’s Edge Counseling, we are committed to meeting our clients where they are, with compassion, clinical insight, and a genuine respect for their lived experiences. We work with individuals, couples, and families navigating emotional, relational, or behavioral changes, offering support that is both evidence-based and deeply human.
Our clients come to us with a variety of concerns. Some are processing long-standing mental health struggles while others are adjusting to new transitions or unexpected life changes. No matter the circumstances, our goal is to create a safe and judgment-free space where healing, growth, and meaningful change can take place.
