You Don’t Have to Be In Crisis to Deserve Help
One of the most common things I hear from new clients is:
‘I don’t know if my problems are big enough for therapy.’
Every time I hear this, I think the same thing.
Who taught us that support is something we have to earn?
Somewhere along the way, many people started believing therapy is only for crisis.
Only for rock bottom.
Only for when everything is falling apart.
But that’s not how we approach most areas of life.
We don’t wait until every tooth falls out before seeing a dentist.
We don’t wait until our car explodes before getting it serviced.
Yet when it comes to emotional well-being, many people wait until they’re completely overwhelmed.
Therapy isn’t just about surviving.
It’s also about understanding yourself.
Improving relationships.
Learning boundaries.
Processing old wounds.
Building a life that feels more connected, intentional, and meaningful.
You don’t need a diagnosis.
You don’t need a breakdown.
You don’t need permission
You only need a reason.
And wanting things to feel better is reason enough.
What’s something you wish people understood about therapy?
